Workforce Development

Maine’s community health centers (CHCs) are spread across the state, from small towns and communities designated as medically underserved areas, to urban hubs identified as home to medically underserved populations. As the face of community health centers and the embodiment of their missions, current CHC staff share in the recognition health centers have achieved nationwide for:

  • Reducing health disparities;
  • A patient satisfaction rating of 99 percent;
  • Modeling the screening, diagnosing and management of chronic conditions;
  • Offering high quality care at an overall cost savings to the health care system.
